Saturday Night with The Misfit Ramones

Currently on a roll following their recent appearances at Blackhole and Home Club in the month of June, local punks The Misfit Ramones are at it once again and this time, it was held at the cosy surroundings of Chapter 6 Studio with Frostymug opening up the set of their intimate showcase. The energetic trio of Syam41 (Guitar/Vocals) Justin Ramone (Bass/Vocals) and Mizar "The Miz" Ramone (Drums) were clearly feeling at ease performing a mix of their original compositions and covers from The Misfits and The Ramones (hence the name)plus some special treats along the way throughout their set which included an acoustic segment with Mizar serenading the supportive crowd and Syam swapping for an acoustic guitar, a door gift for everyone in attendance and finally an open mic session where guest performers got the chance to perform with The Misfit Ramones and this includes the likes of Beel (for Evergreen Blitzkrieg Pop), James Toh and birthday boy Sean Sundaran. Even yours truly had a role to play with the rendition of The Misfits song Die Die My Darling and just like the showcase in whole, it felt totally at home without the feel of being under pressure as The Misfit Ramones are a band that know how to have a good time playing their instruments with relative ease and ensuring that everyone gets a piece of the action with smiles on their faces while heading back home. Look out for more details here on their upcoming gig and on the Dalsix Soundcloud page very soon as the Merlion zombies are ready to go out and kill tonight!
